Sharpen your eyes. Dried grass, mud and sticks don’t exactly look inviting. But, on closer inspection, there is much to discover. Particularly in summer, when the water leaves a little more margin on the banks, you may catch a glimpse of many kinds of footprints on the ground, almost abstract symbols imprinted unevenly on the seabed.
Large, small, irregular, symmetrical, more or less deep. A pair of binoculars will help you better identify the shape of the legs that left them: birds, small rodents, amphibians… With investigative instinct and extreme caution, one can question the footprints and identify the ‘suspects’. Whether they are photographed or drawn, the evidence does not lie. Let the search begin! Who is there?
